I’m sharing my morning routine for accountability. I’ve tried many variations but this is my go to right now. I tried the 5am club and despite persevering for months I never enjoyed it (is that the point 🤔). . This routine still requires discipline but I also look forward to it.💪👊🤩 . There are no silver bullets to success in business (or life!) and no “one size fits all”, but there are some commonalities that we should all be doing as default as a foundation. GOAL SETTING is one of those. So how do you set goals and stick to them? The process I use gives you a solid system that can help you achieve your goals or get much closer to them than usual and is as follows: 1. Set goals that are specific and can be measured. 2. Set goals that are ambitious but achievable (you need to believe you can hit them). 3. Write them down every day and the action you will take to get closer to them each day. 4. Post Covid working means the Blam team rarely come together all at once. We’ve now put in a policy to get as many team members in the office at once e at least once a week. 😀🤩 . We definitely notice the difference in our collaboration, conversations and mindset even when we are busy working together.🙏😃 . My relationship goal this year was to take 6 trips away with Abby and we’ve just competed the sixth one🙌🤩😍. Spending quality time together is the best thing for our relationship, especially with a change of scenery which why I set it as a goal in January.♥️🙌 . Cutting my teeth at work, building brand identities for businesses was a passion I gained and has never left me. . Every entrepreneur becomes invested in their brand and if you love that brand it helps inspire you more and gives you pride in your business.♥️ . The thing I learnt early on is everyone has different taste and not everyone will love your brand. I always advise entrepreneurs to listen to their own gut when choosing their brand and not to worry too much about what other people think. Show ten different people a logo and you’ll get ten different opinions, it’s sooo subjective! It wasn’t until lockdown that I really started to see the benefit of walking. My wife and I did our daily routes locally to get some fresh air having been confined to our home through that weird period of time “lockdown”!😁 . Before that, I used to think it was inefficient and too slow to do any good for my health and too long winded that ate into my day!😳 . What I now find (maybe I’m getting old, lol), is the benefits of a walk out in nature with my wife and or friends is a great way of working through your thoughts and enjoying the scenery too.🙌 . Many a business problem has been worked through on my regular walks, many deals have been stuck and much pleasure has been had whilst walking through the wonderful English, Welsh and Scottish scenery.🙌 . Not done enough of this lately. During lockdown Abby and I started walking most days, covering 3-7 miles each time. 🚶‍♀️🚶 . However, it’s really made us appreciate how important it is to share our day to day lives with each other.
