Okay, Alright, Not bad, Pretty good, Fine, Meh, So so
If so, I have a tip for you that could literally change your life!
Instead of the default answer being one of the above, try one of the following:
Awesome
Fantastic
Amazing
Brilliant
Couldn’t be better
Topper
Incredible
If you make a habit of telling the world and yourself several times a day that you are “not bad”, your subconscious mind will be providing you with thoughts that you are “not bad” - is that want you want?
Words really are that powerful, and this isn’t woo woo, this is proven by the science.
With this one simple change to your vocabulary, you will find that your mindset will become more positive and you will start to feel a lot more amazing than when you kept telling yourself you were “okay”!
You’ll be amazed at how people react to you when you first start doing this. People will say, “What’s got into you?” and will wonder if you’ve gone a bit mad. This will reveal to you just how negative most people are about how they feel, they wear their “I’m not great” message like a badge of honour and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Screw that!
In my view it is all of our responsibility to be frickin’ awesome nearly all of the time, that should be the default. That way when we really do have something to complain about we’ll get the concern we need from people who know us when we answer “not bad”.
The knock-on effect is you will actually make other people think about feeling awesome too, and you will notice the positive effect you can have on other people by just using simple words.
So, how are you “really” doing? Because if the answer isn’t awesome, you’ve probably been saying “not bad” far too much!
To your success
